Popular Post Gamehawker Posted April 18, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 18, 2021 Well I had one cigar left from my box of H.Upmann No. 2 “LUB JUL 14”. I have had this cigar in my traveldor for about a month (I keep cigars in this travedor that I am thinking about smoking because the humidity is 58% in it). So I was going to roast some coffee in my new semi-commercial coffee roaster (Aillio Bullet R1 1KG Coffee Roaster) and I thought it was the perfect time to light up these aged beauty. The wrapper was an amazingly gorgeous colorado brown. I was drinking some of my Costa Rica Tarrazu Coffee while smoking this cigar. The cold draw on this cigar was slightly tight but perfect and it tasted sweet. I knew I was going to experience something fabulous. The first third smoking it had flavors of slight chocolate, earthy and shortbread. Classic aged H.Upmann flavors. The strength was medium. The second third continued with the earthy shortbread flavor the chocolate faded and was replaced with a slight nuttiness. The strength slightly increased. The final third the earthy shortbread increased in flavor and the nuttiness was replaced with a just delicious toasted tobacco taste. The strength continued to increase too. I took my time on this outstanding cigar for 120 minutes and smoked this down to the nub. What a wonderful example of what aging does to a cigar if you have patience and wait to reap the rewards. I feel these H.Upmann No. 2 can age for 10 - 15 years and develop even more to a phenomenon cigar. I am so glad I bought two boxes of of the same box code and I have one still untouched box of these H.Upmann No. 2 “LUB JUL 14”.😍😍😍 I was concentrating on my roasting coffee and was a little disappointed that I could not focus my full attention on this incredible cigar. I even forgot to take some pictures of the final third and the nub. 🙁 I rate this cigar a 98. It was one of the best cigars that I have smoked this past year. 7
