Sobremesa by Dunbarton Robusto 2019（VVRW#1)

Sobremesa is a young brand, but the man behind it is well known in the NC world. Steve Saka was the CEO and president of Drew Estate.

 

Like many NCs today, the stick has a Ecuadorian wrapper, Mexican binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Cigar itself looks great. oily maduro color is attractive, and the cigar squeezes just right.

 

The cigar starts, like many NCs, strong pepper and surprisingly spicy. I was overwhelmed by the pepper and spice combo at first but after a few puffs I was used to it.

 

Following the proper, i tasted obvious espresso beans, cocoa, quite strong leather and some interesting toasted nuts flavor was mixed with the leather. Like many Drew Estate cigars, this one stick produces a satisfying amount of smoke. Breathing the smoke out of my nose, I caught very consistent dark chocolate flavor and somewhat hints of sweetness. I was hoping the sweetness would grow as I do prefer sweet cigars.

 

The cigar produced quite consistent flavor combination. The burn was great. The draw was just right. There was one notable and surprisingly good change after the 1/3 point. The chocolate taste become stronger and the aforementioned weak sweetness became quite obvious, turning into some fruity sweetness. The smoke was quite creamy. After breathing out the smoke, it left some cheese cracker-like taste in my mouth, quite satisfying.

 

This is a quite good cigar even taking into consideration its $10 MSRP. I had some good enjoyment from the stick.
