Popular Post Goodfortune Posted January 2, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 2, 2021 Working my way through the Christmas Sampler. I have a box of 2018 Monte 2s that have been hit or miss. A couple have been superb, while many have been average. Let’s see how this one compares. Low 60s F this afternoon, thankfully no wind like yesterday. Paired with ice water. Pre light draw had a perfect resistance with a nice cocoa and wood taste. 1/3: Nice start to my first cigar of 2021! Perfect burn on this one. Starts out with cream, coffee and some cocoa. 2/3: Construction has been flawless. Consistent core flavors of cocoa and creamy coffee, with some sweet nuttiness and wood. 3/3: Cocoa faded a bit, creamy coffee and sweet wood in the front. A light floral note and nuttiness in the back. These are definitely a real treat when they are “on”. Solid 92 points. 9
