Bagman Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Cigar has a perfect draw. Recently I've run a streak of higher % of plugs. Seems to occur in waves for me. Worse is a 2016 box of Luthy's I'm going thru at the moment. Cigar aged to 5 years which is where I like my Monty's. It is my sweet spot. 4-6 is the range I find they are their beset. Right off the bat I get hit with that Cuban twang. I age all of my cigars, and I rarely get that flavor anymore. Love it, sadly, didn't last long. Quickly moves to just a cedar flavor, slightly salty. About a third in, the chocolate and coffee ramp in, but no cream. Which is unusual for this box as the rest have been heavy chocolate and cream with coffee and cedar This cigar is different. At the half way point, the cedar dropped back a bit and drifted more towards a walnut. Primary flavors are chocolate coffee and slight cream with a heavy walnut or oak flavor. However, in the last third, most of the flavors have dropped back with just a strong walnut flavor. Woody and walnut. This has been unusual for this box. I only have 2 left, and the other 20 have been consistent with nuts, chocolate, cedar and coffee. It was medium-full in flavor and medium light in strength. I don't remember a cigar having so much walnut flavor before. I enjoyed it, but the other cigars in the box were better. Good burn time of 1:47 3
