Popular Post maverickdrinker Posted July 19, 2020 Popular Post Posted July 19, 2020 The wrapper is a light caramel and chestnut hue. Smooth to the touch with no bumpy parts. The construction is excellent. Firm throughout the cigar with a slight give when squeezed. No soft spots. The tapered triple cap looks good and the foot is packed. Aromas of mocha, milk chocolate, barnyard and caramel emanate from the wrapper. A quick snap of my Palio and we are ready to roll. The draw is good. Nice air flow with a slight resistance. Roasted nuts, mocha and touches of cedar come from the cold draw. First ThirdVery sleek and subtle to start. Nice depth of flavours that are supported by the medium bodied strength level. Wonderful start... The retrohale begins with light cedar, allspice, cocoa and touches of eucalyptus as it moves through the nasal passages. The after finish brings light cedar, allspice, cocoa and touches of eucalyptus, accented with grassy notes and a touch of sweetness. Very balanced and complex flavour profile. The medium bodied strength level allows the flavours to gently envelop the palate. Delicious so far... Second Third The second third brings a heavier dose of mocha into the flavour profile. Noticeable in the retrohale and is joined by light cedar and roasted nuts as they move through the nasal passages. The after finish brings mocha, light cedar and roasted nuts, followed by touches of eucalyptus, grassy notes and a touch of sweetness. There is a nice creaminess to the flavour profile. The medium bodied strength allows the flavours to linger and dance on the palate. Wonderful complexity and nuance right now. Final ThirdLeather enters the fray, deepening the complexity and flavour profile. Adds a new dimension to the retrohale as it joins mocha, light cedar and roasted nuts. The after finish brings leather, mocha, light cedar and roasted nuts, complimented by grassy notes, eucalyptus, earth and a touch of sweetness on the back end. Richer flavour profile that fits well with the medium bodied strength level. No harshness at all. Our flavour and power. A nice way to end... Final ImpressionsThis was smoking a layer cake. the core flavours of mocha, light cedar, grassy notes and eucalyptus that was enriched with additions of new flavours throughout the cigar. The complexity continued to evolve as you smoke it. Wonderful. Slight tweaks within the flavour profile deepens the complexity. The flavours themselves seem to get richer as you move through the cigar yet the medium bodied strength level stayed even keel. This is smoking well right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 13
