maverickdrinker Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Howdy folks. Wanted to get people’s opinion on 2008 to 2010 Cuban cigars. Been smoking different marcas from that timeframe and find the first two thirds show the true flavour profile of the marca and the final third gets discombobulated. I believe that new tobacco strains were being introduced in the early 2000s and recall how cigars from this timeframe smoked really well out of the box. Makes me suspect that they are entering a third fermentation/sick phase right now. What has been your experience and your opinion on this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
El Presidente Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Hi Art! i hope you are well mate. Love the word "discombobulated" You have the introduction/trial/test & measure/introduction of a new tobacco strain annually/biannually. One of the existing strains gets weeded out of the run on team. I can't recall having a tail end issue on 2008-10 cigars. They would be from the 2005/6 crops in the main. Will try to smoke a few this week.
maverickdrinker Posted June 15, 2020 Author Posted June 15, 2020 All good Rob. Good to finally have time to enjoy cigars again. Curious to get your thoughts. It may be my palate is going through a sick period. Lol. Hope you and the fam are doing well and staying safe. Maybe a trip to Havana is in order if this all clears up. Now I have to figure out how this 24:24 works. Lol. Be well. Looking forward to what you think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
