Popular Post Bri Fi Posted April 4, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 4, 2020 I was able to get the kid to sleep by 8:30, so there was still enough time to hang out by the fire pit with the wife and smoke a petit covid-19 paired with a Clos du Val Cabernet Sauvignon 2015. I recently purchased a box of Siglo VI on 24:24, so I wanted to visit another in the Siglo line that I already had. John just posted a link to the Siglo line that was very helpful to determine flavors and the differences between the lines. The most helpful part was that these really need 5+ years to shine. Which put my mind at ease based on how this went. I wish I could separate this smoke into thirds or even halves, but it was one dimensional. Flavors were heavier on the earth side with notes of wood and a sweetness I couldn’t put my finger on. There was no transition and not much complexity. I will say that the smoke was rich and full. The burn was close to razor sharp and the draw was perfect. I’m hoping that another few more years will sharpen the sweet notes for those left in the box. I was really hoping to find the honey cohiba notes, but nothing. Overall, a 1hr 10min smoke, and a score of 88/100. 8
