I had a group chat with a half dozen friends on the island last night.  Food and water are becoming a concern, but they are used to getting by on less...apparently certain parts of the city only have water a few days per week.  Schools are closed, most if not all of the hotels are closed.  Parque Central is open and has 30 total guests as of yesterday afternoon.  They are cutting staff down to a skeleton crew. On a good note, there are tankers on the way from VZ with oil/products which they so vitally need for agriculture, power generation, etc. I have an American buddy who's been 'hiding out" in an apartment in Havana, waiting for his flight out.  A week ago, he was told by authorities that if they saw him on the street again, he would be detained until his flight left 4-01.

Crazy times.  Everywhere.
