Popular Post Silverstix Posted March 28, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 28, 2020 Bought these, along with some others, here last year during the PCC Aged Program sale. The first one I smoked as I was getting over being sick The second one I smoked tasted pretty flat without much flavor at all This is the third one..... I picked the best looking one I had left. Nice sheen on the wrapper. Great construction. Not much aroma at cold. Punch cut, draw is perfect. Toasts up evenly and quickly, off to the races with notes of what reminds me of a leather jacket. The smoke is just really smooth. Now getting some of what I’ve heard described as chocolate covered orange candies. No idea where you guys come up with this stuff, but it’s amazing how it describes it perfectly. Ramping up in the flavor department, light on strength. Coming into the 2/3 and it’s definitely that chocolate coated orange candy slices. Flavor is rich, finish is long, smoke is thick but suuuuuper smoooooth. Effortless, could retrohale every draw if I wanted to. Winding down, not much transition or complexity, but more of what I was getting before. No earthy or coffee flavors as I smoked this down to the nub without getting hot or bitter. Construction is an A+, no touch ups and the draw is perfect. Comparison to the Juan Lopez #1: The #2, for me, has a much fuller flavor, less complexity and less transitions. I get much more sweetness from the #1. Both great cigars.
