Sancho Panza Non Plus RUM ABR 18 (SSSTRW)

The 3rd out of a 1/4 box that I bought here over the summer. All are PE level in appearance, but that’s ok. First 2 were pretty much middle of the road.

 

There is a small tear in the wrapper. It’s a rather dry wrapper, the color and texture of a brown paper shopping bag. Smell is a sort of musty tobacco.

 

1/3 - Starts off with a very pleasant mustiness and mild tobacco. Feels like a dominican Davidoff honestly. Light bodied but flavorful.

 

2/3 - Hard to define now, but salty is a good word to describe it. If I retrohale I get the mushroom musty stuff that I get from Davidoff, but also that “salty” tobacco coming in full force. Not a ton of complexity or transitions, but it’s a real pleasant smoke.

 

3/3 - Really a continuation with more of the same. Which in this case was for the better. No bitterness, no harshness. Nice right down to the end.

 

Construction, unfortunately, was not there. At least visually. The small tear in the wrapper exploded after I lit up. And traveled up the cigar....all the way until the 3/3. Despite the horrific images, it still smoked well.

Thanks for the review and great pictures! Sucks about the construction. I have not tried one of these yet, but based on the hype I had been hearing and decent pricing, I have a box on the way. Hoping I don’t run into the same construction issues. Cheers
