This cigar’s bigger brother, the La Vérité Churchill was my #1 cigar of 2019. I purchased this box by accident as I was trying to order more La Vérité. This robusto was produced in 2015 which gives it almost five years of age.

Draw is on the tighter side. Aroma is lacking the floral chocolate notes of the Churchill. 

First third: nothing noteworthy here. Just toasted tobacco and hints of pepper. Construction is wonky. A few touch up lights were needed.

Second third. Almost immediately as the first third transitioned to the second, there was a spiced cream bomb that hit me. Unfortunately, it only appeared in a few puffs throughout the second third. The rest was still toasted tobacco. Construction was terrible and needed many touch ups.

Final third. The spiced cream turns more into sweet cream for a few puffs here and there. Other than that it becomes bitter and the construction doesn’t hold.

These are being stored at 62% with the rest of my Cubans so I don’t think over humidification was a factor. Hopefully I just got a dude cause this one sucked. Overall 85/100. If those cream bombs could be more consistent it was drastically bump the score. Speaking of scores
