Cohiba Robusto 2019 (XNYRC)

This was a CoRo that was gifted to me, but purchased from Rob so the exact box code is unknown. I do know it’s from 2019 so it is fresh.

 

Paired with Weller 107, one of my favourite bourbons.

 

The wrapper is gorgeous, Colorado(on the slightly darker side), smooth with some sheen.

 

1st: what a start, very creamy mouthfeel with coffee bean and light hay.

 

2nd: medium body, the sweet honey really picked up, more cream. This is becoming one of the best CoRo I have had. The burn is razor sharp with the ash producing a “stack of dimes”

 

3rd: this is where the cigar showed it’s youth but I was not disappointed at all, as I knew this stacks up to it being a 2019. The cigar became a little hot and somewhat bitter. The honey sweetness was absent.

 

All in all, a great example of what a CoRo can do. A few years and this box will be fire!!
