Popular Post Bucky McSwensen Posted December 3, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2019 Does this count as a montecristo since the edmundo dantes is it's own brand...? Feel free to void this I'd it's too far of a stretch but I say it counts I have had one before that was amazing and I am excited to revisit it. This one seems a little spongy and underfilled but I have high hopes. Dry draw is cinamon spice and coffee. First puff is sweet citrus cream with a bit of nuts and spice. This quickly moves to a coffee grass flavor and it starts to smoke a little dry. The sweetness comes and goes and I get little kicks of coacoa. Second third gives me more dry smoke. I am little bummed out as this is not living up to my expectations but they were also very high expectations. Near the midpoint I get some more sweet cream and mild spices of cinnamon and pepper with just a slight paprika kick. Finishes off with some cakey peanut butter cookie flavors. Final third loses the citrus and gives me a sweet almond paste flavor with a bit of grass and coffee. The cream is mainly gone and the rest of the cigar is hot and dry. So many amazing unique flavors I love mixed with so many "just bleh" basic cigar moments. A lot of high peaks with this but so inconsistent. I really love this blend and I have a few more of the belicoso and have a single of the other two sizes. This one was unfortunately underfilled and did not meet my expectations. Still great but if the whole box were like this I would be pissed based on the cost. Maybe 3 years is still too young, maybe it was under/over humidified, maybe it was just a bummer of a loose draw dud. Definitely will revisit but may wait a while for the next one. I value this at $18 cost ratio - 0.45 7
Derboesekoenig Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Hopefully the next one will be a winner. Definitely not a Montecristo though
