Popular Post Artin Posted November 30, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 30, 2019 I picked up my last Monte 1 that I had from my humidor which I believe is from 2017. I had it sitting there waiting for the right moment to light up and I thought hey what the heck, life's too short to wait for this cigar to rest for another year or three. Also, I hadn't smoked a Montecristo in a while so I thought this would be the perfect time. This cigar was just under medium bodied with no extra heat at the end. Lovely expensive chocolate taste from the first to the last third. Almost velvet chocolatey with a bit of a nutty aspect. Think walnut in a decadent, not so sweet, chocolate cake. Was a great hour 15 minute smoke. Burn was perfect from the get-go. Funny how this size has become a bit big for me ever since I've been smoking thinner and shorter lately. I might see myself picking up a #5 or Joyita sometime soon to enjoy this Montecristo brand again. 9.4/10 5
