Popular Post CptGoodTimes Posted November 4, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 4, 2019 ? In the spotlight this week, a 2012 Ramón Allones Specialty Selected with a box code that’s gone MIA. We’ve taken the Good Times out on the road for a lil work & lil play. • 4-7/8x50Rg Robusto Aroma is sweet tobacco & barnyard. After a quick V slice, cold draw yields sweetness, leather, & some hay. This one feels real nice in the hand. Time to toast the foot. Opening remarks: This lights up like a Griswald Christmas tree...really fast. I mean two puffs and a half inch is gone. Whoaaaa big fella! Hope this slows down. Lots going on flavor wise....sweet earth, chocolate, pepper, and right out on the edges is a fruity note that perks my taste buds. Maybe black cherry? ? 1/3: That fruitiness just toyed with me. Came and went a couple of times, but just out on the edges. So cruel, Ramón, so cruel. This is above medium in strength for sure. Burn slowed down & has been wavy, but no touch ups to this point. Flavor hasn’t wavered a bit. 2/3: The sweetness hung on for most of it but faded. The sweet chocolate turned more dark, bitter. No more fruity edges....oh the dreams. 3/3: Pepper began to increase toward the end & things just went to the dark side with Vader. Not really what I like. Conclusion: This wouldn’t make me run out for a box buy, but I’ve already got a box from 24:24 on the way. I’ll definitely measure it up against this ‘12. I much preferred a ‘17 MSU RAS over this.
