Meklown Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Woody and earthy cold draw, pleasant First puff gives 50% chocolate, some soil, mushrooms. This reminds me of the famous dish at the fat duck "a walk in the forest". After the first few puffs, getting sweeter, tasting of vanilla custard. Chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Seems it may have gone savoury? A tinge of roast chicken? Gone as suddenly at it came. Back to chocolate ice cream. A sip of whisky. Drinking a 15 year old single first fill Sherry cask Glenlivet today. Sweetness of the cigar seems to have disappeared. Tasting some tea now, Chinese Pu Er. Properly into the second 1/3 now, the woodiness from the first puff is becoming more prominent again. Smell of old libraries. Last 1/3 the woodiness has taken another step forward. Sweetness of the first 1/3 is well and truly gone now. Strength still stays around medium. I'd rate this cigar a good 87/100. Not the most complex cigar ever but good evolution of flavors and a really refined palate gets a high score in my book. Good first try and I'll highly consider getting a box of these in future. 2
