Popular Post BuzzArd Posted October 14, 2019 Popular Post Posted October 14, 2019 Not a box i was too excited to dip into. Flat Colorado claro wrapper with almost no discernable sheen, but the photo makes it look a bit better than it did in person. Wraper was very rustic. Lots of warts.... Still, the box smells pretty good, sticks felt firm with little give so I was optimistic on the ultimate construction. Faint sweet tobacco smell at cold (away from its brethren) and after a v-cut the draw seemed spot on. Torched the foot and it was actually quite nice. No “peanut butter” to be had, but a nice, lightly paprika spiced almost thick smoke met my palatte and intensified as the nipple foot gave way to the main body of the cigar. Paprika intensified with no sweetness to be found. Smoke was dense and pleasing. Burn was razor sharp. Not until the final third did roasted peanuts come into play. By then I was really enjoying this short afternoon smoke. I did end up nubbing it before taking up an antique hygrometer calibration task for the remainder of the afternoon. Hopefully the rest are as well constructed and deliver at least this level of satisfaction. 11 1
