It’s smoked a bit densely, without the depth of flavor I’ve been used to from the mark and vitola. Indeed, other examples have had real spice box notes. This had a cedar and woodsy front note that lasted, giving way to a fuller tobacco strength than I’m used to here. The Reyes is one of my favorite smokes around. For length and flavor. For charm and elegance, for that true subtlety. This was still a nice time. A good Cuban smoke. But it’s an aberration. 2
