Popular Post irratebass Posted May 6, 2019 Popular Post Posted May 6, 2019 This cigar was gifted to me, so I do not have the box code, but I do know I received it in 2015. This will be my first time smoking this size, I have only had the El Principe & El Morro. Inspection This has a beautiful brown wrapper which is a bit toothy with some veins & seams, and seems to be very firmly packed. Aromas On the body I pick up coffee and cinnamon with a hint of chocolate, on the foot I mostly get cinnamon. Pre-Light Draw Decided to use the V-cut on this, and right away I am greeted with a cinnamon cookie flavor. 1/3 The smoke engulfs me which brings me more cinnamon cookie flavors.....very nice! 30 mins in and a relight is required, bummer. Now the burn is wonky, and I have to puff several times to get a full puff in.....how disappointing. 2/3 Cinnamon is all gone now entering into this flavor party is now coffee, wood, baking spice with some toast. Happy to report one hour in now and this cigar is burning much better and i'm able to get a full puff without multiple tries. 3/3 There is a sweetness that is trying to crash this party that I can't quite put my finger on.....maybe gingerbread? The coffee and wood flavors are now dominating the dance floor. Draw There was a little bit of resistance, but no complaints. Burn Well it got really wonky after it went out at the 30 min mark, but I gave it some TLC and it burned very nice right to the end. Construction Quite excellent really Overall I really enjoyed this cigar, I was hoping for more of that sweet cookie flavor like I got in the beginning, but I was mostly greeted with wood, cinnamon, and some baking spices......which isn't a bad thing. 7/10 & my smoking time was 120 mins. 6
