Paired this cigar with SDC 12.

VCut, draw was very good. This box has been very well constructed.

Cold draw toasted tobacco with cedar.

 

1st: opened nicely with toasted tobacco notes and hints of red berries. Not the cherry flavours that I have picked up RyJ, seemed on the mild end.

 

2nd: all cedar, woody with a touch of cream.

 

3rd: body picked up to medium with some nice sweet tobacco. For whatever reason, this sample didn’t seem to bring the classic cherry notes that I do get from SCs. I have definitely had better samples from this box. I recall my last one being much better with a ton of Cuban twang. This one didn’t do it for me.

 

Was a pleasant smoke and can’t fault the construction as it was spot on.
