Popular Post Bucky McSwensen Posted March 25, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 25, 2019 I am enjoying this stick while I work outside. I'm a mess emotionally so I need this to be good. Aroma and dry draw are typical Hoyo flavors: slight coffee with cream and chocolate. First draw gives me light cedar with creamy cocoa. Little bits of Graham cracker to start. This is what I've been craving all weekend. The flavors develop with some light pepper spice and cinamon. Toasted tobacco kicks in. The cream remains but goes in and out in waves of intensity. Cycles of cinnamon, pepper and coffee continue for the first third. Second third is all toasty tobacco with some pepper and cinnamon. No more cream but hints of coffee remain. I taste little cake tones. Tastes like burnt coffee cake, not quite caramel, but still in a good way. Fairly standard hoyo flavors are consistant (minus the cream). Nothing remarkable or noteworthy but very pleasant. Burn is great and always stays lit even if I ignore it for long stints. I'm focusing on some spreadsheet calcs so it's a joy to not require any touch ups. Final third gets a little hot. Mild bitterness and sweet burnt cake flavors leaving a sweetness on my lips. Tannic flavors show potential. Hints of cream but they are fleeting. I'm very pleased with this and I'm excited to see how and when this develops. I'd value it at $12.75 Cuba rating = 1.72 Purchase rating = 1.42 Ratings are based on a ratio of value/cost. 1.00 means I value it the same as it cost. Less means it wasn't worth the purchase. More means it was a deal) 5
