Bucky McSwensen Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 Aroma and dry draw both have sweet coffee cream flavor. Smooth dark wrapper with an oily texture. Slight resistance but great smoke output at first light. Starts off with sweet bell pepper flavors. Almost like a refreshing garden salad. I'm very confused but happy. Shortly after that it resumes standard expected flavors of pepper, light leather, and coffee. Little bits of spice and cedar pick up. 2/3 changes it up with slight cocoa, a bit of toasted sourdough (reminiscent of partagas) but the leather spice is still prominent. Final third drops the cocoa and tastes of spicy leather. No major changes until it gets hot at the nub and I ditch it. Not a bad stick but not what I was expecting. Zero sweet cream and very light chocolate. Not the desert cigar I was craving but still very enjoyable. The start was so damn unique I'm intrigued to see where this goes with some age. Definitely a young stick, but not bad at all. I'd value this stick at $9.50 Cuba rating = 1.36 Purchase rating = 1.17 Ratings are based on a ratio of value/cost. 1.00 means I value it the same as it cost. Less means it wasn't worth the purchase. More means it was a deal) 3
bigguccisosa Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 Your tasting notes are quite a bit different from what I got on mine (box from 2016) but I also didn't get any sweet cream. Tons of leather and tobacco spices. I'm going to lay it the rest down for a year and see what happens. Thanks for the review! 1
