SMQQKIN Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 I purchase 99% of my cigars here & let El Pres check construction. I used to live in Chicago & would store my cigars in my temp/rh controlled Aristocrat in the basement at 65 degrees & 62 rh. They consistently smoked wonderfully & had very few burn issues. Now I live close to the beach & fight high humidity levels. After trial & error I've found that storing them at 65 degrees in large ziploc bags with 58% Bovedas does the trick. My bovedas don't dry out & again my cigars taste & smoke wonderfully. Can't remember the last time I had a tight draw & wrappers are perfect. No need to dry box.
fitzy Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 I don't have a copy of the book but my understanding of MNR's book is he keeps the cigars at low humidity until he's ready to smoke them. Has anyone experimented with the reverse of the dry box?
