Diabolicalpherpher Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 This review may be a little late but better late than never. I got this cab from the host about a year ago at the beginning of my CC journey. Ended up with a HQ rated box. I’ve been smoking it here and there since acquisition and initial few had the promise of the caramel taste but the youngness showed up half way through and hadn’t been smoking it lately. Now I don’t really mind the youngness as it tastes like... a Cuban... I revisited the cab a few weeks ago and the smoke was getting better and better as the caramel taste comes in ‘spades’ and only towards the last inch is where I detect the subtle youngness. And I will say the one I smoked for this review is no different and I’m rewarded for keeping my hands off even for a year or so. cold draw was barnyard, and as I took the first few puffs, it was sweet sweet caramel. This pretty much was the entire smoking experience. The burn was great with razor sharp burn line, indicating great construction. The youngness does show up at the very end but I like it because it tells me I’m smoking a Cuban. I hope I can keep my hands off so I can further see it’s progression as it ages. It is definitely my best cigar to date in 2018 with the fact that I was able to enjoy its journey to this point and hopefully even further. 4
Siberian Bear Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Thank you for the review I have a box LEP OCT 16 that never been touched, as I was waiting for it to get older based on suggestions here, but maybe it's time for me to dig in!
Islandboy Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Sounds delicious. Need to get on the caramel train next chance I get.
