New to this forum and wanted to share my first impressions on the Newair CC-300.

First off NewAir customer support is very helpful but has ZERO technical knowledge.  I called to ask what the difference between was between the 280e vs CC-300.

The customer service rep didn't know and was reading the website info off to me.  I figured it out.  From what I can see is the 280e has a temp range from 64-66deg F

and the temp range on the CC-300 is  54-74deg F.  Also the 280e has "handmade made in the USA" drawers and shelves, nice.  And the drawers can be positioned in the top of the unit.  The 300's drawers and shelves is very thin, and made overseas.  You can see what look like staple marks on the slates and drawers.  One thing that bugs me is that you cannot position the drawers up top like the 280e.  The 300's drawers hit the protruding cooling fan in the back, thus only being able to be positioned slightly above the halfway mark on the unit.  I think the humidity would be (in theory) less up top with adequate ventilation.  This is where my singles would rest.

Question:  For owners of the CC-300 only.  Can you get your fan to stop (if your ambient is 70deg F) if you toggle up your desired temp to 75deg F?  I maxed mine to 75deg F and the fan was always on and the temp dropped to 65deg F (with a 70deg F ambient temp).
