Hurltim Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Picked this up with a bunch of sample cigars to try. It's only sat in the humi 7 days from delivery but hey, what the hell.Aroma at cold was very barnyardy with a slighty sweet smell. Cold draw had a nice sweet flavor with hints of lightly toasted tobacco. Very deceiving as this little sucker has some Powah!!!1st. 3rd: Perfect burn, perfect draw and great smoke volume!! A detect a slight dried fruit/raisin note but it fades quickly. Lots of toasted tobacco and cedar with a hint of cream in the background and a little cocoa on the finish. The finish is a bit short.2nd 3rd: Body progresses from a solid medium into a medium full. Great hits of leather, toasted tobacco and cedar dominate. I kinda miss the dried fruit.Last 3rd: Cigar continues to pick up strength and adds a little black pepper tovthe mix. Smoke, burn and draw are still fantastic. Almost makes it to full bodied. Powerful little sucker!Overall, I can see the potential in this cigar. I think a little time down to mellow out the body a bit will help delineate the flavors a bit more. Definitely boxworthy.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
zeedubbya Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Nice review! I really like these. Great smokes. It seems to me the stone fruit comes out more with age. 1

I can totally see that. The strength of the cigar kind of obscured the subtler flavors a bit. I still enjoyed the hell out of it. Getting a good strong cigar without the huge pepper blast of NC's is really quite nice. I can say the same thing for the RYJ Cazadores.
BarryNY Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Need to get you a proper "roach" clip.........LOL....... 1
