Well...hopefully the end of the Cuban embargo is near. I'm not sure how that will effect the quality of CC coming in, perhaps it won't at all.

I suspect that with the opening of such a large new market they may have to work overtime. Then again I'm certain the factories have a plan of action, ready to move.

I look forward to it.

Weren't there commercial flights before?

I guess it's an issue of semantics. Historically there have been flights related to Cuban decendant families only, news/media and govt relations.

This flight though, out of Ft Lauderdale on JetBlue is the first commercial purchase flight since 1966(?). $99 one way and 45min...not bad.

My understanding is that all flights before were chartered so therefore not commercial. What they've done today is opened up commercial flights, eventually they'll be about 110 per day. That's a big deal because they are commercial and available to any of us, as long as one qualifies for one of the 12 reasons.

Amazing!  But as far as cigars go, I think there was a reason why the FDA put all the fees, deadlines, grandfathering in the cigars out now, and so on in place; all in anticipation of the Cuban Embargo along with the length that the  trademarking issues will take.

Good news either way, eventually!
