Bossman333 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I have a question. I like having sticks ready to smoke with me from time to time and don't want to have to open the humi everyday to get one. I have a cylinder glass jar I guess its used to store dry foods but the seal is tight. What's your suggestion on storing 10-15 sticks in this hot summer weather in my truck? Do I need boveda packs or nothing at all? Thanks
cigarbreak Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 If you don't have the option of using a plastic travel humi in the 15 stick size with a boveda, then your glass mason jar would probably be the next best alternative. It also depends on how long you plan to keep them in truck. At the minimum i'd keep them in the trunk (if yours is not open) as it's cooler than the inside of the car and out of sunlight . I personally would try not to leave them in there for more than a week and would keep much less like maybe 5 sticks, and no premiums either. 1
Bossman333 Posted June 10, 2016 Author Posted June 10, 2016 Thanks for the info. Seeing that I usually smoke one a day on the way to work 5 might be a good number to keep out.
irratebass Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I would definitely throw a boveda pack in there, and if you can take them with you when you leave the car...that's what I do with my 15 traveldor Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk 1
Orion21 Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 If the weather is above 80F I wouldn't leave the sticks in your car for a week. It's too likely the internal temp of your car could be 90F+ and possibly damage the sticks. If you are going to smoke all of those cigars within a 5-7 day period I wouldn't even worry about the rh. I routinely pack 10-15 cigars in my travel humidor with no bovedas etc. When I go out of town for 3-7 days and my cigars smoke perfectly. I would even argue as they dry out they smoke even better. 2
