Troy Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Hello everyone, I'm about to move from Brisbane to the middle of nowhere in central Queensland and I was wondering if any would know how extra heat will react with my humidor and its very important contents. I'm moving just out of Longreach and from what I've read last years average temperature range for summer was 43.4 degrees, or 110 farenheight for our American viewers. Now the house is air conditioned and from what I can tell the outside humidity hovers around 65-75% in summer. Can anyout out there see this causing me any problems? And if so, can you help me fix them? Cheers
Ben Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 It's usually a dry heat out there certainly much less humidity than Brisbane. My humidor has always been trial and error so I can't help you much there.
mgillett Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Dare I say it, propylene glycol might help. If you can find it...:-(
El Presidente Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Dry as a bone out there Troy. Freeze your cigars first and then keep an eye on the humdidity gauge. I wouldn't worry about keeping them in Aircon unless you are going to do it 24/7.
