gsmoke Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Hey all I don't post on here that much over the last couple years (blame it on the divorce?) However I do very much respect the members here and their opinions and experience, so hoping for some guidance here. My job is sending me to Moscow for a week next week and wondering if anyone can share some tips? Cigar bars, restaurants, sites to see etc. Thanks much! Gordon
Cornell Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Cigars - I read there is a lcdh and a grand havana room. See - beautiful women!! You're divorced now! 1
Nrengle Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 It's expensive, and be careful. Some nice parts of town, but some real shady parts and corrupt people everywhere. First time I went the band I was with didn't have the right visas we were told, but nothing 200 bucks a person couldn't fix direct to the customs official. Had a cop try to extort money out of me in red square for my copy of my passport. Never carry the real thing with me there, always locked in the safe. And only use cash there. Have had too many friends and myself get the cards either cloned or straight ran for hundreds more than the total. One friend had his ran for an extra $500 on top of the $300 dinner. Cigars to be had in lots of places but last I was there I didn't know how to spot a fake, so no clue of authenticity. That being said it is an amazing city to see, but be wary, and weather can be ungodly hot to monsoon and cold.
