Blackham Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 What's the best recommendation given to you recently? Let's do one cigar related and one for anything else (drinks, cars, adult movie actresses, cat food, etc) I'll start with a few: Cigar related: Dry box using newspaper- recently trip to Pinar Del Rio and a farmer taught me this: Find a clean page of newspaper without too much ink (eg. Ads). Wrap around you cigar 1 day before you smoke, and notice the nice burn of your cigar. Beer: a botl introduced the Goose Island Pere Jacques to me. Now I'm hooked to every release of their bottle (Sofie, Matilda, and a dark ale which I forgot the name). Chicago based, Belgium style ale, smooth and fruity. Always been the party favorite since. Opti-coat: basically an overcoat for the overcoat of your car's paint, suppose to last 2-3 years depends how much you drive your car. Now my car looks like show room condition everyday. I got it done by a detailer for 350$ and it's the best money I've ever spent on the car. Attachments area 1
bradbrennan Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 How about a good book, I need a recommendation actually...picked up Euphoria that just came out by Lily King, but not feeling it. However, I did enjoy Loss of Innocence by Richard North Patterson which was recommended to me this year
ogus Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 SLR Pacificos from Rob was very interesting. Dunno why but I thought of a Sig VI but at half the price. Jeff Runquist 2011 1448 California Redvery complex, three sets of distinct flavors and yet only $14.
Trent0341 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Matilda was a beer I recently stumbled across. I'm not normally an IPA guy (and I understand this is a Belgian Pale Ale) so I didn't expect to like it but I really did. I'm going to have to track down some of their other ones. Thanks for the recommendation!
fookite Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Matilda isn't an IPA, it's more like a Belgian-style Dubbel. Not hop-heavy at all.
