investandprosper Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Did anyone catch the Canadiens. / Senators game today? What a brawler! I took my wife to a local brewery to have some beer and sliders and they had it up on the big screens. I've been to a few hockey games but this one had some stellar moments
Pilsner14 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Beauty eh! Really got at 'r tonight. Some great elbows tossed too......Gordie style. JD
rckymtn22 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Turned it off by that point. Looking at the stats lot of head butting going on?
tkhu888 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 What a chippy game! It was funny when both teams benches were depleted. I'd be pissed too if I was the Montreal Canadiens coach a timeout with 17 seconds, "Come on, Man" let the game end.
Random Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 This was one ugly, very ugly game. Officials let Sens do whatever they want during the first period, they missed some calls. And then everything turned into ugliness during the third. Both teams were dirty and both are guilty. But reffs are those who should be blamed for this stuff.
rook Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Brought back memories of the Islanders Penguins game in 2010-11. A statement has been made, rest of the series should be interesting to say the least.
ptrthgr8 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 What a chippy game! It was funny when both teams benches were depleted. I'd be pissed too if I was the Montreal Canadiens coach a timeout with 17 seconds, "Come on, Man" let the game end. I was 100% okay with that timeout. By that point Therrien was sending his guys out just to start crap with anyone wearing the other sweater. The Habs completely came unglued and they stopped exercising anything even remotely close to discipline. Maclean said he called the timeout for the safety of his players - I don't buy that for a second. But I do love how the Sens rubbed the Habs' noses in it for 30 seconds. "Oh, you want try to rough up my guys, eh? You want to be little pricks, eh? Fine. Relax for 30 seconds before we finish the last 17 seconds." I like it. It was a fun game to watch. I suppose any Montreal fans wouldn't agree with that and even the Ottawa fans probably didn't like how the game went down (other than Pageau's hat trick), but for a mostly non-committed fan of the game... yeah... it was a fun one to watch. I actually giggled a few times during the 3rd period. Cheers, ~ Greg ~
Jnaube Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Brought back some memories from my childhood when the Canadiens were playing against the Nordiques in the now infamous Vendredi Saint matchup... What a game.
rook Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I am looking forward to the game tonight. I'm sure the refs will have to get control of this game early, parades to the penalty box will be frequent. Crowd will be loud and the place will be jumping. 6PM Central in the States the game will be on CNBC.
rook Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Senators & Canadians was a great game as was the Islanders & Penguins. Blues & Kings game should be another extremely tight game tonight.
tkhu888 Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Now if my Oilers could ever see the post season again... I am enjoying the STL/LA series both teams are a mirror of each other makes for good hockey. Back on topic the MON/OTT I couldn't imagine before it started if you told me OTT was going to be up 3-1 in the series...Karlsson is like the liquid terminator healing from that injury so fast.
