mychetboy Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hi, I would love peoples general opinion of comparing the Hoyo Churchill vs Double Corona. With the Churchill discontinued in 2012, I may want to pickup some boxes, but wanted to check if there are any major differences between these to blends. Since Churchills and DC's are nearly the same in size and gauge, I wanted to ask the more experienced are there major differences or preferences, etc... thanks for your advice, Rob
Colt45 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 I've found that both share similar qualities. I prefer the churchill format, and have been enjoying cigars from an '07 box (with another in reserve). There should be a few reviews of each in the review forum, to help give you an idea.
Scdalak Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 I agree with Ross, but I enjoy a good Double C when I have a lot of time on my hands.. Say.... Sitting at Black Jack table .... Solid 2 hour Smoke, and very mild and creamy to boot! Surprising considering the amount of Tobacco in a DC..
Mr.T Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Well, I really enjoy the HdM DC when I've got time on my hands and want a mellow, smoothe smoke to pass a couple hours by. I've never had teh Churchill. The ones I've been smoking from 07 have been really good. I love smoking them mid-late morning with a nice cup of joe and the paper.
