dicko Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 What did everyone think? No result as yet, most likely will be a draw. I think there has been some good batting and it's good to see Michael Clarke (Pup Snr now) continue to make runs as captain. I think the pitch has been a bit of a let down though, absolute road. Bowlers have had to either bowl incredible deliveries to get people out or they play a silly shot. I think it will be an interesting series!
bummy Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 i would have like aussie to have a lead of 180, but the pitch might play up last session,PLEASE bowlers stop bowling no bowls! would have been great test if weather didn't wash out day2,good work by the AUSSIE any result.
frenchkiwi Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 hate those dead pitches. for some reason it's encouraged as the people running the show think millions of runs and ball-smashing without wickets is interesting. it makes for exceedingly boring test cricket. give me a pitch that seams and bounces early on and cracks up for spinners in later days. swing and reverse swing are a bit more down to the atmosphere on the day but sand paper and vaseline should be encouraged. 30 overs without a wicket? Time for a Vaseline power play (sponsored by - you guessed it).
El Presidente Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 The crowd the past two days has been missing. Says it all Test cricket should be over in 4 days. Wickets falling....ball flying off the bat, guts in the middle, each session a mystery. This drivel is not the type of cricket that people want to see.
Coolio Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 If only we could convince Warney and Pidgeon to make comebacks. We've got the batsmen, but they have to get rid of Warner and send him to 20-20 permanently. Although it sounds like that's Robs preferred format! All we need is a couple of strike bowlers. I mean, how does Hilfenhous get a game? He couldn't get me out!
