bassman Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Never had much luck with this cigar. A box from 99 was tasty when I could smoke one, but the vast majority was plugged. A box from 2004 had great construction but tasted pretty bland. With most recent cigars i've bought being above average, I decided to grab another box of Presedentes & based on only the first cigar, it looks like I have a winner. Oily colorado wrapper showed promise & when clipped the draw seemed perfect. Fired up the cigar & was hit by strong & peppery old school Partagas flavor. The cigar kept getting stronger as I smoked, but not a trace of harshness. Nice even burn too, which is not always the case with cigars this shape. In short, well worth seeking out. Sorry, no photos so...
BassCigarBoy Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 I picked up one of these in France a year ago and hugely regret not getting a box. One of my favourite cigars to date. Shame they're not available in England and are tricky to find elsewhere anyway.
Quantim0 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Just smoked one from FEB12 and have a similar report. Great oilky wrapper and no signs of youth until the last 1/3. Good stick overall for being so young.
Vcool Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Finally smoked the single that I had, it wasn't bad just.. probably not for me.
