brazoseagle Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 An absolute FANTASTIC 2006, original release Monte Petite Edmundo! 97/100!!! Everything is perfect about this cigar. Top 3 Montes I've ever smoked. Light, milky ample smoke, the smell of caramel and toffee pudding is intoxicating, great burn. Milky chocolate, and iced coffee throughout the entire cigar. I need to get more of these immediately!

They were metallic and harsh....and have had no redeeming features at all. Until the one I had on Wednesday night! Dave (theholmesmob) came to my place on Wed night and I pulled a couple of these out to finish off the night... And they were fantastic! Dave and I were both stunned with how great they were. So full flavored, creamy, mocha, heaps of smoke... right to the nub. I'm not a big Monte fan, but this smoke was one of the Top 3 smokes I've had this year.

I have a box from 08 going through a mean sick period while another box from 07 is heavenly, just like your 06. Boxes from 96 are very hard to come by, I believe 1 was available at MO's auction though. Thanks for sharing
adic88 Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Monte Edmundo PEs are generally a "smoke now" cigar -- taste great even when fresh. Haven't had a box that lasted longer than a year or two.
