I'm trying to build a pretty basic coolidor but I'd like to line it with 1/4" Spanish Cedar...not even sure if that's necessary but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I've checked half a zillion sites on the internet and nobody seems to ship to Canada. It seems like it might be easier to try and get a pink unicorn shipped to me.

Does anyone know where a hoser can source this stuff out in the great white north?

Try Lee Valley stores as they have 1" x 3" x @2ft strips of Spanish cedar that could be cut down to size to fit in coolidors. I picked up some at the Calgary store a couple years ago. You have go through them as some of them have lots sap weeping out of them. Which you don't want particularly.

I do business with westwind hardwood. They should be able to help you out. Good company to deal with.

Have you considered using honduran mahogany as an alternative? It also has good stability and moisture buffering abilities but without the possibility

of sap. Good luck.

Spanish cedar in a coolidor is like lipstick on a pig... [insert joke here]

Completely unnecessary in my opinion, especially if you are storing the cigars in their boxes...

Save your money for the cigars that will be occupying it.

Langevin Forest has some in QC if that helps.

Of course, you can just load the cooler up with the cedar insert from boxes. Your local B+M could help with that. If you are tossing boxes in, no real "need" for cedar. I like it myself, but no need...

Here's the link, but they seam to be out of stock... couldn't find the page in english, sorry.Cedar planks
