Prague and Vienna - Need hotel recommendations

I will be meeting my girl friend for a weeks vacation in the mid/end of September to celebrate our birthdays. We will start off in Prague for 3 nights or 4 nights, then onto Vienna.

I am looking for recommendations on where to stay or not to stay in these 2 cites. I could look for reviews on the web, but thought this place would be a great place to start.

For Prague - I am looking to stay in the old part of the city.

For Vienna - I honestly don't know what part of the city to stay in.

Also looking for cigar store recommendations and if there are restrictions on cigar smoking.

Two of my favorite cities in the world. I will try to dig up where I stayed and pass it along. As for cigar stores it was before I was smoking cigars. Have a fantastic vacation! I am so jealous . . .
