isa Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 My friend was flying back through Munich airport this weekend, so i had given him a list of Alamenia REs & some LEs to pick up if available. Well, he said that there were some humidors, but nothing like Geneva airport from where i had got cigars earlier. He couldnt get any cigars from the list. So wanted to know if there is any well stocked humidor in the Munich airport and if so, how to locate it, name or any other details that might be helpful. Cheers
Habanos2000 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 There was a small walk-in in a duty free store when I was travelling back to the US last summer. Nothing in there impressed me and the prices, even at DF levels, weren't that buyer friendly either.
isa Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 Makes sense - my friend also said something similar - small humidor, nothing impressive, thanks

Cheers I fly through there from time to time. I have never seen REs or LEs there. (I have looked.) You can get some of the popular, easy to find cigars. Mostly Cohiba, Montes, RnJ, etc... Very small selection.
isa Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 Thanks Thomas - my friends feeling was exactly the same Ok, so Munich airport is ruled out.
Hohenthal Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Thanks Thomas - my friends feeling was exactly the same Ok, so Munich airport is ruled out. The Duty Free, as others have stated, is not worth it, in fact, the selection shrinks more and more every time. But: There is a good shop in the outside shopping area, before security, Terminal 1. Of course, full retail prices, but still a much bigger selection by far. If you look for German RE's, you could try there. Best, Alex
isa Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 Thanks a lot Alex, will keep that in mind next time
1daniel Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Been a long time since this has been updated, but I'm in Munich airport now in terminal 2 heading back to the states. Only a few Davidoff cigars in the small humidor in terminal 2 L and H gates. Took the tram to terminal 1 and nothing there as well. Wanted to go check out the Wolsdorff shop that is outside terminal 1, which has some Cubans, but did not want to exit the airport and then go back in through security, customs, and all of that other stuff. 1
