sg1234 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Nino, It was very nice to meet you, and in Havana of all places! I have plenty of photos and video of El Laguito. I will post a trip report after I get home and I have a chance to sift through everything. Thanks again, Aaron and Alexis
Nino Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 Nino...you have me looking for my luggage and passport In a few months I will be free to travel again (Lisa back from maternity leave at least part time) and I am hoping to share Havana with you and my friends. It is posts like these that hit home both how lucky I have been and how much I want to get back. Thank you Thank you Rob, for your liver's sake : hope someone hides your passport and throws out your suitcase ... Seriously, it's been a hell of a time in Cuba and I surely enjoyed it more than just the usual festival circus week. I got to see genuine faces and places and all the nice cigar events were private. You'll love to be back !
Nino Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 Great report and pics! Though, am I the only one who noticed that there really is a flying cigar? OK, will let the secret out : Was just trying some fancy footwork there - I actually kicked the cigar up with my left foot, it bounced off my stomach nicely just to position itself squarely in my lips to be smoked ... the photographer was just too slow ...

Thanks again, Aaron and Alexis Hey Aaron, how was the Vinales tour - hope you & Alexis enjoyed it, which I am sure you did with Toby around. Great to have you on the tour of El Laguito and look forward to any pictures or video you may have. Happy honeymooning and best regards Nino
CanuckSARTech Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Cheers Nino. Very well done, amazing pictures as always, and your narrative and description just makes it feel so real everytime I read one of your updates. I can almost smell the smokey salt air from here. I can't wait to go again this upcoming fall/winter or so, and get a chance to soak in that sun and vibe once more. I miss that place sooooo much, especially right now, but reading your updates about these trips always feels like getting a window view into a little slice of tropical heaven. Cheers and kudos. Well done. Thanks so very much for sharing.
Mr. Japan Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 Nino your post ,as your blog, are number one for getting me mad LOL I travel a lot , you know, but when I see your photo's and read your diaries I REALLY WANT TO CHAGE DESTINATION when I'm in several Airports :-) Next year there will be ( I hope ) NOTHING that will stop me to be at least for 2 weeks.
