Miner Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Just finished a SLR Serie A, sensational. I got two of these in a sampler from Rob. The first wasn't great but tonight's smoke was The difference between the two smokes was amazing and all due to storage. I smoked the first about a week after I received it but the sticks were stored in a ziplock bag. I then bought a wine fridge and the SLR has been sitting at 68/63 for about a month. What a difference a month makes!! I reckon if you are serious about this daft hobby called Habanos, the first $300 you spend should not be spent on a box of Cuba's finest but on a box to keep them in. Worth every penny I reckon. Cheers
cottierm Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Once you receive your cigars, you need to allow at least 10 days (better a month) for your cigars to 'relax' in a proper environment before smoking them. That creates the difference. Best, Michel
ksblazer Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 I prefer to let my cigars rest a good month or so before trying as well Nice to hear that the SLR A's are smoking well. I just finished off my box of them last month. Will be re-ordering some more soon.
