dB69 Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I'm planning to build a website for my cigar photos (and maybe some comments about cigars) and I'm asking for recommendations for free website designer software. Of course I could manage to do it with text editor, but that's not reasonable because I don't have too much time and I'd like to see the site as it is when making it. I don't see learning a heavy software very reasonable either. There are many softwares for this purpose, but I don't have time to test them all. So far I have tried Namu6 and NetObjects Fusion Essentials. Namu is maybe too simple and does not seem to support thumbnails/big photos and NetObjects requires maybe a bit too much learning (just downloaded and had a quick look at it). So, if you know some good alternatives, please give your recommendation. Requirements are: Absolutely free, no trials or other hidden expenses - Simple to use. Thanks!
coblos Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 If it's just for photos and comments save yourself the trouble of building it from scratch and just find a wordpress template you like and modify to what you want.

Wordpress is definitely the way to go. I build a lot of sites with Wordpress and there are plenty of free themes to choose from.
