Well I suppose that you have a point there. Plus, being fairly new...no, not the right word..."reborn" to the world of Cubans, even a box of MC #4's gets me excited!

But Cuba......Cuba you go for the whole package. The people....Havana...the nightlife....the architecture......the climate.....the friendships you might make. .

Go to Cuba and you may have a breathtaking experience. Go to Andorra.....hey, I mean, I had a great time - I was with friends, but cigar hunting was half the purpose of my trip - and it was a blindingly successful venture. If you go to Cuba just to hunt for Cigars, you are missing so much more of what it can be and what you can experience there. By all means, go to Cuba and pick up cigars - but open yourself up to the country as a whole, and you will have yourself a real vacation.

heh....and I havn't even BEEN to Cuba yet! :innocent:

Great reading once again Chris - and you nailed it in your advice !

Happy sailing and safe journey.

Cheers Chance,

Your report was very useful.

I sit here in a rather nice bar opposite the best cigar house in Andorra,

having blown some money on a pretty cool stash.

Every cigar head should visit here.

Everything I bought was from 02, and bloody good value, many cigars that aren't freely available...

Happy days.

Great review.

I've been there a few times but only to pas de la Casa, never made it down to la Vella (usually been there skiing or quick day trips from Toulouse).

My experience of the French customs is that they'll stop you only if you're in a French reg car. Once you show them foreign passports they lose interest in you and send you on you way....must less strict than their Spanish counterparts going by your report!

Damn I always used to think you were the only one that coud go there and no one else. wink.png

Indeed great thread. Friend of mine pointed me to this thread. I too picked up a few cabs of the Partagas Lonsdale from 2002 and they are pretty special.

Not really true IMO.

We have just been and enjoyed walking up Pyrenees in 20+ degree sunshine.

La vella is all about shopping, true, but there is also some great walking, skiing and scenery in the surrounding area.

living in a land of expensive booze, frowned upon smoking habits and where the majority of the land is desert, it sounds like a haven!nyah.gif
