ewipper Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 When these cigars arrived last year, I gave them nary a thought. Fresh, with a short amount of rest, they were packed with oily drippy tobacco, so moist and wet that they would not burn. So they made their way to the back of the humidor until a good friend reminded me that it was a year and they should be revisited. This time I gave them a good look. A lusciously long cigar with a shaggy foot, a remarkably marbled head begins to betray the training of the roller. What would the blend be? One puff and it was all clear. I know Rob's palate enough to know what he would do if he had the chance to craft an everyday cigar for himself. And this cigar left no doubt that this is what it was. A blend somewhere between a Partagas 898 and a Ramon Allones something, this cigar sang of Partagas tobacco. Except for the side taste. Something on the side, a creamy woodiness maybe, like a twist of Hoyo Des Dieux. Well done Rob. Well done indeed.
