I was very excited (later to be dissapointed) to smoke this first edition exclusive to our country.

Petit Robust, 50X102; according to cubancigarwebsite 1,000 boxes of 25 were made.

Aroma at cold: barnyard and hay

Wrapper: very nice, light chocolat wrapper.

Construction: perfect. draw on the loose side.

Opening and First third:

Dissapointing. In the first few puffs the cigar attacks you in a nasty way, lots of unpleasant spice and metallic flavor/feel that continues along the first third.

Towards the end of the first third a bitterness attached to the metallic taste.

one good point - tons of smoke.

Second third:

The bitterness continues. the spics vanishes. mostly just medium body tobbaco taste.

At the end of the second third, finally some notes of good taste as I get small undertones of enjoyable sweet tobacco taste.

Last third:

This is were the cigar shows some potential and hope for the future: small waves of fruity and cherry kind of flavors which are nice.

However, these are too little too late, especially in such a small cigar.

Overall:

Again, to me it was rather a dissapointing smoke. Not harsh, but very youthful characteristic. Bland and bitter up until the end of the seocnd third, then it picks up some nice fruity flavours.

Maybe those undertones gives hope and potential with some age on it.

A touch under medium in body.

cheers,

Amos

Thanks for sharing the experience Amos. Sorry it didn't live up to expectations. Hopefully some downtime will help these RAs out.

How long did it take to smoke? Thanks for sharing this review. Still hoping to be able to pick up a couple at the Jerusalem Casa in December.
