Rushman Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 today I smoked one of my regular (house rolled) sticks............. These are no Hamlets (although i have never had one), but they are better than any house roll I have tasted - and they have some good age on them. Todays format was a churchill. construction - a bit veiny, not the typical for his cigars, but otherwise very nice draw at cold - very good draw, taste of barnyard hay and pepper opening - good amount of smoke despite the breeze, medium body, peppery cream sorta flavor mid way - had to correct some burn issues, mostly due to the breeze - medium body at this point, still peppery but now with a cocoa flavor finish - mellowed out to a creammy mikly flavor with slight spice - nubbed this one Paired it with agua de jamaica (thats hibiscus to most of you). PS - i aso had to show off my new table top cutter - i think a cigar is worth te risk of severing your finger any day of the week.
