frenchkiwi Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 They both have flaws particularly when produced with thick dark sandpaper wrappers (bitterness) but a thin silky smooth wrapper makes all the difference. thanks for that tidbit Senor Presidente. i have had a couple of boxes of slightly bitter (but still eminently smokeable when paired with something sweet!) Secretos and i was wondering if my early memories of sweetness were just romantic notions. i have really enjoyed a couple of Genios singles at your suggestion but need the box money to pay the rent... do you do hire purchase, or are you so overcome with work that you need to hire someone to quality control the incoming boxes of genios?
thechenman Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 From Cohiba's Maduro 5 line, I prefer the Secretos first and foremost, followed by the Genios. Never been a fan of the Magicos. However, to be perfectly honest, when I really want a good maduro cigar, I usually go NC. They just seem to do maduro cigars better IMHO.
messa Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 I enjoy the Secretos and Genios... haven't tried the Magicos. The secretos has become my cigar-to-share when I have guests as its small enough to not intimidate casual smokers and is consistently a smooth easy smoke.
