I can't help wondering what would happen if another team approached a game with the same sort of plan. Secondly, I'd be curious to know if any of the coaches at higher levels would be willing to bet their careers on it, and that's the ultimate metric. High school coaches (even in football-crazy states) make relatively modest salaries. When you're making a couple of million bucks a year at the college level, however, and you're dealing with crazy boosters and lunatic ADs, the reward-to-risk ratio changes dramatically. Still, I'll bet those games are a blast to watch!
