Carte Blanche is the most recent James Bond novel to come out. I believe in came out in the US mid June. I am a long time and loyal James Bond enthusiast and many would say a trivial expert on the subject matter. I collect and have read all of the James Bond books and story lines that have been written by a wide spectrum of authors. But we all know the Ian Fleming was the man! Ever since his death, very few authors have been commissioned by his estate to continue on the TRUE legacy. I felt the last one to come out by famed author Sebastian Faulks was really good. But this time around the Fleming Estate commissioned World Renowned author Jeffery Deaver.

Carte Blanche is FANTASTIC, for Bond fans you will love it, but even if you are just a fan of a great spy/suspense/espionage novel, you will love it. It's well written, action packed, very knowledgeable on the subject matters, the character development is great, and it truly is one of those books that it keeps you on the edge of your seat and keeps you turning pages long after you were supposed to put it down for the night. Very rarely will a book transport me to the action and make me feel like I am there, giving my stomach the same anticipations and tenseness that the characters in the story feel. There are plenty of genius twists and turns along the way to keep you thinking. I say this is a definite must read, and I categorize it as not only one of the best Bond books, but one my my favorite books period, I have ever read
