Black Label / Lancero combination had enormous impact on availability and sale of this product. I was fortunate to secure a total of 15 sticks from two fellow BOTL. I have smoked through 6 of them and each one provided an unforgettable experience. Starting with flawless wrapper, excellent construction and good burn. Not easy to achieve with lancero, especially the burn & draw. If you can appreciate cigar flavor complexity, you don’t have to look any further. Tatuaje Black Petite Lancero will provide you exactly that, and some. Appropriate amount of spice without tasting like a spice-bomb, chocolate, cocoa, a touch of cinnamon and hint of floral notes are some of the characteristics of this cigars. If you are from North East and are familiar with NYC roasted nuts’ smell and taste, get ready for nut-fest. In construction department, one should expect light gray / almost white ash and close to perfect burn. Out of six samples only one had a minor hiccup where I had to re-light few times but considering the lancero format, personally, this is a nonissue. If I was to rate this cigar with a numerical value, we are looking at 95+ home-run. I’m definitely picking up a cabinet when regular production becomes available.

I always liked the brown labels (even the red labels) over the black labels, but I really do like the black labels in this size.

They look like decent sticks, but man I am so over the limited release sticks from Tatuaje and Viaje don't get me wrong I've smoked some good sticks from both. I am walking away from this chase and focusing on CC's for awhile...:cigar::o hell it's cheaper!!!

I get your point, but these aren't limited releases, they're going to be regular production sticks.

Yeah- I've recently gotten a little to involed ( time, money) in the hunt. It's all good, I've backed off alot I plan on smoking alot of what I have to make some room for my next obsession!

My rule is, if I don't see them in a shop or if I can't buy a 5 fiver off the internet... they don't exist!

Those look beautiful. Nice pics. I've always wanted to try a Tatuaje but have never come across them.

Tatuajes can be hard to find. Viaje is next to impossible to find. When ever I go out of town I do my online research before hand. Last time I went to the DC area it payed off BIG TIME!!!

Nice photos. The effect in the first is pretty cool. Did you plan it to come out that way? It looked, at first, as though the cigars were floating in midair.

Sounds like a good cigar, too. I'll have to keep my eye out for them. Nice to hear they'll be in regular production.

Best,

Pete

I stopped in a shop down the mountain a couple of days ago and tried a couple of the brown label Tatuajes, two shorts and two lanceros. Pepin Garcia has become, it appears, almost a cult of personality.

They are of significant quality, without a doubt. They're also as or more expensive than most CCs. They weren't significant enough for me to consider a box of them over a box of CCs.

Funny, you are not the first one with the same comment. No, I didn't plan it but because the table is made out of glass, there is definitely an illusion there :)
